About this deal
The soot particles will burn at lower temperatures in the soot filter area, helping to regenerate the filter, especially in cases where exhaust temperatures are low, like stop and go traffic, city traffic and short drives. With a continued stop/start driving pattern, soot loading builds up in the DPF since the ECU is unable to make the necessary small adjustments to the fuel injection timing to increase the exhaust temperature and initiate regeneration. Particles from incomplete combustion adhere to the variable vanes causing them to stick, reducing vehicle power and efficiency, resulting in an engine management fault. Forte Diesel Particulate Filter Cleaner and Regenerator has been specifically formulated to combat the adverse effects that start/stop driving conditions have on Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) regeneration. Forte DPF Cleaner and Regenerator uses a catalyst to adhere to the soot particles during combustion, lowering the temperature at which they can be burnt off. Forté DPF Off-Car Cleaner has been specifically formulated and is compatible for use on all Diesel Particulate Filters (DPFs) and will provide quick and effective soot removal from Diesel Particulate Filters.

Clearly lowered the soot levels and no more codes. But I've had an issue with my S Max recently. I plugged it into my scanner and monitored the before and after live data.
Got codes again basically saying dpf was blocked. Never used anything like this before. Car feels different as well.
Had various fault codes regarding the DPF. I've driven it for a couple of days now and the codes are gone. The first picture shows the dpf before, couldn't get soot percentage any lower than shown and was getting codes.
The second picture is 2 days after adding the dpf cleaner. Turned out the dpf fuel vapourizer was faulty. I'm very sceptical about these add to tank products. It was too blocked for a normal regeneration to clean it.
I changed it myself. New one was €355. As a last resort (before removing the dpf for cleaning) I put a bottle of this Forte dpf cleaner in the tank.
